Fall Flag Football


Flag Football Sponsors:


The fall flag program is for incoming Kindergartners through 8th grade. Teams of individual sign-ups are formed by high school area as registrations allow, or full teams may register. Participant awards are given to all Kindergarten through 2nd grade players at the conclusion of the season. 1st and 2nd place awards are presented to division winners in 3rd-8th. All divisions play 7-on-7 with an average team size of 10.

Games are played on Saturdays and Sundays beginning after Labor Day and proceeds for an 8-game season (6 regular season games and 2 postseason tournament games). The registration fee includes t-shirts and flags/belts. 

Registration will open on May 1. Registration deadline is August 7.  Coaches meeting will be held Wednesday, August 14 (6pm, Cook Center at MidAmerica Nazarene University).  Practices may begin August 15. KCFC does not provide practice time -- practices days, times and locations are determined by each coach.

Interested in Coaching?

Please fill out a Volunteer Application during your child's registration to receive more information on coaching a Flag Football team. Contact us at 913-831-6000 if you need any assistance in this process.

All coaches must complete the on-line volunteer application in order for a background check to be conducted.

Head coaches must attend the Flag Coaches Orientation/Development Clinic. Date and location TBA.

Coaches must complete the above requirements in order to receive a coach pass.  Coach passes are required to be on the sideline.  They also serve as your pass into the complex on game days as there will be a $2 daily gate fee in 2020.

Important dates that coaches/teams need to be aware of are –

November 1 – first day to submit requests for the spring season (March – May)

February 1 – first day to submit requests for the summer season (June/July)

April 1 – first day to submit requests for the fall season (August – October)


Flag Registration will go to a wait list after the August deadline so that we can place late registrations on teams as they come in.  All players registering before the deadline will be placed on a team.

Football Complex Admission

There will be a $2 daily admission fee to the Heritage Park Football Complex for anyone 18 and older.  You may also purchase a pass for $15 during the registration process or on opening day.
