KC Speed and Sport

Johnny Beck
Attended the University of Kansas on a scholarship as a place kicker. Earned freshman All-American honors in 2001 and posted the second longest field goal in school history (59 yards). Was part of two post-season bowl teams including the 2003 Tangerine Bowl and 2005 Fort Worth Bowl. Received a bachelor’s degree in Sports Management. Served as a coaching assistant on the KU football staff from 2005-2006, assisting with special teams and summer camps.

Brad Cottam

Brad spent the past 15 years of his life performing and studying under some of the top strength and conditioning coaches in the United States. As a tight end on the University of Tennessee football team, Brad spent 5 years working with legendary Strength Coach Johnny Long. Growing up, he participated in a number of sports including baseball, basketball, football, and soccer. During his college career, Brad excelled both on the football field and in the classroom. A 3-year starter on the Volunteer football team, Brad was named to the All-SEC Academic Team on 3 occasions and served as a team captain. He also played in the SEC Championship game, the Outback Bowl, and the Senior Bowl.


Anthony Davis
Played linebacker for the University of Utah from 1988-1992. He then played in the NFL for 8 years, joining the Kansas City Chiefs in 1994 as a free agent. He played for the Chiefs until 1998 when he signed to play for the Green Bay Packers. In 2000, he played for the Super Bowl XXXV Champion Baltimore Ravens. He is in the midst of starting his own foundation: Your Next Play. Coach Davis is currently the linebackers coach at Mid America Nazarene University.

Theotis Brown
Brown has worked with the Kansas City Chiefs front office as the coordinator of player development as well as the community relations and sales departments. When he graduated from UCLA he was the 7th all-time leading rusher in school history. In 2011 he was inducted into the UCLA Hall of Fame. Brown played 7 years as a running back in the NFL with the Seattle Seahawks and Kansas City Chiefs. He also was a second-round draft pick of the St. Louis Cardinals.


The football skills and drills will be coached by current coaches, NFL and college players to ensure the highest quality of coaching for the athletes. The KCFC Academy Camps/Combines are in partnership with KC Speed and Sport.
